Swords

Below is a bastard of a sword that turned out quite well. A case hardened 1040 steel sword with a full tang. This sword also has a cherry handle with 4 copper pins. There was regrettably one mistake on the build which was the issue of welding the pommel. The pommel was made from O1 steel, whcih does not weld well with 1040. So the pommel was press-fit and epoxied into a cherry wood case and pined into the tang creating a unique pommel style. In the future we hope to cast some heavier pommels and use some better steels!

Below is another great sword with a forged curled cross guard and a purple heart hand grip. This blade has a full threaded tang, which was not one of the best designs but still very functional and dangerous. This was a 1040 steel so slightly more than case hardening, keeps a good edge against anything except other hardened steels, which will leave a mark.

Same as the previous sword, an early attempt with at best case hardening steel, but the rough forged blade finish does give the piece quite an orcish look.

Early first attempt at steel sword making. Would be at best made of a case hardening steel but never got heat treated. Still Sharp and dangerous but will wear and tear quickly with use—testing this sword has left many marks!
