Flails

Flails were an intriguing side project and they make me reconsider why I build things . . . They honestly started out of curiosity, to see if we could do it. They were built as a display piece using file sharpened weld beads for points. However they did not look great, so a new design was implemented. Using rod steel stock points were fashioned and threaded. Holes in the balls were drilled then tapped to make removable points for safe transportation and mounting. There are not a lot of things that I build that scare me, but these are one of them, they must be handled with extreme care.

Probably more to come!
